About us

Like bands that started out in their bedrooms, the Savoy Truffle Supperclub began as a speakeasy-style dining club in our lounge back in early 2009. But we’ve come a long way since then…

I was a chef at the award-winning eco-restaurant Acorn House in London, and my wife, a keen gardener, was growing produce on our organic allotment, that I was experimenting with to create big flavours from simple, sustainable and seasonal ingredients.

The idea behind the supperclub was simple. I wanted to create an intimate, relaxed environment to share fabulous locally-sourced food that would prove fine-dining can be laidback, and the simplest, freshest ingredients can be turned into a sumptuous feast. It’s the opposite of a Michelin-starred restaurant: think underground and exclusive, a buzzing atmosphere, a surprise five-course set menu that promises to reflect the season, a chance to talk to the chef – and to get a peek inside our home and other quirky and unlikely venues.

Held on an impromptu basis, each night is unique – the menu and venue can change at the last minute – but the food is always seasonal and the setting stylish. Now we’ve launched pop-up nights in intriguing spaces around the capital to bring our surprise suppers to more people.

And we’ve also started offering private dining and catering for parties, so now you can go bespoke and bring the Savoy Truffle experience to your home.

Next year promises even more exciting collaborations, boutique pop-ups and even a supperclub shop. I’ll keep you posted with all the developments on my blog, facebook and twitter page over the coming months.

And a big thanks to all our Trufflers for your support over the last 18 months – we never imagined that what started out as a mad food experiment would become a cult phenomenon.
